Capturing December...Merry Christmas, Leontien

Actually the theme for today is "A beautiful sight," and I will include a photo taken this month. But I'm interrupting this month's theme to make a holiday request. Our blog buddy, Leontien, is battling melanoma. If you send cards can you add one more and send it to Leontien? Blog buddy, Nancy, has done a post where you can find Leontien's address.  I know the good citizens of Buttercupland will join me in remembering Leontien.

This is the window of the Petrossian Cafe. I walk past this lovely sight following my dentist appointments, and it is a terrific temptation. Next door is a restaurant that specializes in serving caviar, also owned by the same company. They are both very pricey, but about once a year, when I am feeling very indulgent I stop at the cafe and treat myself to a croissant and a cafe au lait and feel that I'm in Paris. Just writing about this convinces me that I definitely need a visit soon. I'm making a note on my calendar for a moment of indulgence in January, 2013. That will pick me up from the post-Christmas droops!

As always, warm and cozy wishes!

Thanks for sharing about Leontien's battle, I will definitely add him to my card list.
And, that window will definitely give a pick-me up as you walk by.

Thank you for sharing the news of Leontien.

The goodies in that Cafe window look quite decadent!

I think we all deserve a little indulgence on occasion. Enjoy yours whenever you are able to visit that wonderful cafe. I just read Leontien's latest blog post and was so saddened to hear that her time may be quite limited. But what a wonderful spirit!!

I have done that. I am so sad and am praying for her. She seems like a wonderful wonderful woman and I hate that for her. sandie

What an intriguing picture and description! That's a GREAT idea, Carol, making plans for the new year to help banish the January "blues." May I come along ...in spirit?

Now I'm off to see how I might help lift Leontien's spirits!

Have a wonderful Thursday!
