Remembering on Veterans Day...

Those who served...

My father is in the back row to the left. He was drafted after Pearl Harbor and released from duty in 1946. He served in the United States and in combat in Europe, including France and Belgium.

...And those who serve now.
You have my complete and total gratitude.

Oh yes, I too have a stack of the scalloped edged black white pictures. Let me say today is a better day and I am grateful to all those who have made this country a safe place for all of us.

PS: I realize that many, many people suffered far more than I did, in these post Sandy days and let me also express gratitude to all those who stepped up to the plate-including you Buttercup- for helping us all get through this

That is such a great picture. My fathers served during WWII also. I do have pictures of him in his uniform but have never taken the time to scan those old pictures into my computer. Yes, I am very proud of all our veterans too!
