My Rule for Eating All Things Pumpkin

My Pinterest pumpkin board is ready to go...pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cake, pumpkin pies and pancakes. Pumpkin pancake mix in the freezer waiting for the first cool day. And that's my rule for eating all things pumpkin. I don't do pumpkin while the air conditioning is still going. As much as I crave my pumpkin delights I am going to wait until the windows are closed, I am in flannel and the air conditioner has gone to rest for this year. Then it's pumpkin, cranberry and gingerbread non-stop. But I did buy my first crisp apple of this season, and I can't wait to eat it for dessert at lunch tomorrow, air conditioner or not! Have you launched into fall treats or are you waiting for the actual start of autumn?

Wishes for a sweet Wednesday (and I am officially launching my autumn colors!)

You are making me so hungry! I looked at pumpkin spice coffee blend today but decided to wait. I did buy some crisp apples fresh from a north GA orchard today. They are delicious!
Wishing you a restful night and a great day tomorrow.

I, too, am a "seasonal eater." Somehow, pumpkin doesn't sound so good when it's 110+, ya know?
'Have been salivating over Pinterest's offerings for a while now, with an eye on the calendar.
So, 'til we in Phoenix catch up with NYC, I'll be ENJOYING your selections!

We are sweltering here in CA. I agree with you and pumpkin will have to wait. I can't even decorate for fall in this heat... it just doesn't seem right. Hopefully our triple digit temp will cool down soon.... but I'm not holding my breath.

I hope that you are healing a little more each day and feeling better. Hugs, Lura

This past weekend we indulged in a wonderful pumpkin cheese pie. It was wonderful! And yes the air conditioning was on too. Cooler days are coming...
Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Not quite time to begin enjoying pumpkin treats around here. September is usually the month for apples, though.

Somewhere I have a recipe for Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream. A friend made it many years ago, and it was delicious!

Have a great day, Buttercup! Take care of yourself!

Sounds like a good plan to me.
We haven't really launched into Fall treats yet either.
Unless, you count the apple pie that I baked for Spencer the other day.. **grin*.

I have begun to think of Fall decorating, and I am craving apple cider :)

Dear Buttercup, Even though this summer seems to have passed by, I must admit I will not miss it. The bugs and constant humidity have made it impossible to actually enjoy the summer. I have missed baking and taking walks with my little poodle, so I am definitely looking forward to the cooler weather. But it seems like we're having an Indian summer. Enjoy you apple crisp! Blessings my dear, your friend, Catherine xo
