Grateful for Lists

I love lists. I don't think there has been a day in my adult life -- and probably even before that -- when I didn't have a list of things to do. I don't see them as a burden, but rather as a structure. At times like this evening, when I am restless and waiting for the day ahead, I am grateful to have a list of things to do.

I've paid several bills, cleaned out the refrigerator, discarded lots of newspapers that I realize I will never read and sorted my laundry. All are useful and don't need much concentration. The last item on my list is "blog." This last is not a burden in any way, but an opportunity to say thanks and sweet dreams to some of my favorite people. I saved the best and sweetest "to-do" for last and I wish you a sweet Wednesday. I'll be back in touch as soon as I can and I'm carrying all of your prayers and good wishes with me!

I need to become a list maker, I might get to be a little more organised.

Today top of my list is to send you much love and many hugs.

Hi Sweet Buttercup!

Life has been keeping me so busy the past month that I'm sorry to say I was unaware you were going for surgery until I read your comment to me on my blog. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a quick and complete recovery! It was good that you took some time off beforehand to prepare and get your "need to do" list completed.
I only live a borough away, and if youbneed anything as you recouperate, even just company, please don't hesitate to e-mail me and let me know! Things are getting back to "normal" here and a quick trip into Manhattan is very do-able.

Hugs,

Pat

PS: I haven't made up my mind about the August Blogher convention as yet, but if I'm free I might get last minute tickets and attend. I'd love to meet up with any NYC blogger's get together too -- that would be so much fun!

Just the act of making a list makes me happy. I may not even refer to it because the fact that the list exists is the important part!
