Pinterest HealthFest -- Good Day Sunshine!

While yesterday was a glorious sunshiny almost-spring day, today was not. Today was cold rain and damp socks and I longed for the warmth and light of yesterday. I love the sun and all of its Vitamin D producing benefits, but I have to be very careful with sunlight. I use sunscreen 95% of the time and am prudent about reapplying when I am at the beach. I've had biopsies, treatment for pre-cancerous spots on my face and reconstruction of my ear. Gratefully, all of these numerous incidents were benign. But I love my skin as it is and want to keep it and all of me healthy, so I've become a hat and sunscreen gal. I haven't checked the weather, but I'm hoping tomorrow is a hat and sunscreen kind of day, and not a damp socks day.

I've got a nice day planned for tomorrow. Services in the morning, lunch with a friend and a walk in the afternoon. I'm going to focus on books for my decluttering time tomorrow and also do some paper shredding, which is sorely needed. I'm looking forward to starting the day with the New York Times, a pot of coffee and a hot shower and nowhere I have to be until 10:30 a.m., which feels so luxurious.

Wishes for a luxurious Saturday to you!

Your Saturday sounds luxurious. Saturday mornings I exercise in a warm water pool, Sunday mornings are for church; both of which I love to do.
I am a hat and sunscreen gal too.

I love the spoon garden pick idea. I am so ready for the sunshine to come and stay. The older I get the more precautious I am about my skin. I have several redheads in my family who have gone through skin cancer treatments. Me.....I hate the ugly age spots that seem to show up these days. Blessings and I hope the sunshine shows up soon.

We've had days like that lately and then we wonder why we have been sick!
Enjoy your Saturday--hope it is a sunshiny day.

I hope the sun shines brightly for you today. It was dreary, cold, foggy and very windy here yesterday. Even had some snowflakes touch the ground to remind us it's still winter. BLAH! I understand how you feel about bathing in the beauty of bright light. It can bring such joy to a day. BUT caution is needed, for sure. My grandma had skin cancer and so did my dad cause of the rays. BE SAFE Buttercup. But ENJOY! take care.
