Pinterest Gingerbread Fest

Here's a cheer for the classic gingerbread man, beloved of literature and eating!

Aren't these the cutest little gingerbread guys ever? I've had a wonderful time looking at a world of gingerbread delicacies and decided that this week I would present the most classic gingerbread man. I chose this one from Pinterest and found it was from one of my favorite blogs, "One Perfect Bite." If you like to cook or eat this is a great place to visit, and Mary is a lovely blogger friend.

I am somewhat startled to realize that next weekend is Christmas weekend. I kept thinking there was still weeks. We had our holiday luncheon at work today. Lots of goodies and beautiful decorations. I have some fun times with friends this weekend and there's still wrapping to do and lots of cards to write and lots of blog visits to make. Frozen custard post tomorrow! It's a promise.

Wishes for a sweet Saturday!

Gingerbread men are so cute. What would holiday time be without them. I know Christmas is next weekend, but doesn't Chanukah start on the 20th? In years past I've made latkes and applesauce to honor the ocassion. Don't know what I'll do this time 'round. Take care. Looking forward to custard.

Mary does have some marvelous treats on her blog and these gingerbread men are so cute! When I was younger and visited Colonial Williamsburg, I remember having a warm gingerbread man just out of the oven - so good!

Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Buttercup!
Love those cookies! Checked your last few posts too. I made shortbread gingerbread men with my cutters from WS but they have a strange shape. Going back to the one that makes them nice and chubby!
Have a great Sunday, brisk and sunny!

You're startled that Christmas is next weekend??? Well then I'm petrified! As a HUGE box with my name ended up under the tree and I realize all I've bought for Barney is a pair of boxer shorts with Marvin Martian on them...and an RC helicopter I have a lot of work to do! LOL

We have some scratch & sniff bookmarkers in the library. One of them is gingerbread. The children and adults love them!
