Pinterest Gingerbread Fest

I'm just catching up with this month's Pinterest theme and I've picked my absolutely most favorite holiday treat, which is...

Gingerbread!

This is the sweetest gingerbread house I've seen this season, and I've looked at lots of them. I was so taken with the peppermint decor and the little sledder by the side of the house. I like ginger sweets in all permutations, from latte to cookies to candied ginger. The ginger snap was the first cookie I ever baked independently -- in the third grade -- and I was so proud to follow the recipe and actually produce cookies. My mother was a wonderful baker and thought it was not too soon to teach me to bake from scratch.

Is anyone else a gingerbread fan? If not, what's your favorite holiday sweet?

Sweet, sweet dreams!

I agree that is the sweetest Gingerbread House I have ever seen. The little guy on the sled, so-oo cute. The peppermint trim really makes the place festive. Makes you want to pop in for a visit. LOL My mom makes these awesome Anise Cookies that are to die for. My specialty from way back when, are Wedding Cake Cookies with White Chocolate Chips. Gingerbread Cookies with White Fudge are good too. I could go on and on, can't you tell?

I wish I could say I have made gingerbread but I haven't! I must try to...maybe next year!

I have actually posted about Gingerbread at my 12 Days of Christmas series at my Christmas blog. Please pop by if you have 5 minutes and maybe even link up this post!

Hope you might be able to join in with my weekly Pinterest party too!

Best Christmas wishes,
Natasha.

I too love gingerbread cookies and nothing better than ginger snaps with a cold glass of milk. Now I am wanting that and none out here on the North Forty. Maybe tomorrow.
Wish I could see the gingerbread house it did not load for me. I will come back later and see if it will.
Been wanting to come by and tell you that I am having a awesome giveaway but it ends tonight at midnight central standard time.
Hope you can enter
Love
Maggie

I love gingerbread too! When my kids were growing up I created them a new Gingerbread Fantasy every Christmas. It was always a real labour of love for me. xxoo

Good Morning Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share today. I too, absolutely adore gingerbread everything and anything. Warm from the oven is the best, but I could live with a bag of gingersnaps as well.

The little sledder is sweet, but I love that little mailbox on the opposite side of the house. Someone is so clever and imaginative.

Hope you are well sweetie. It is a chilly 39 degrees here in the valley this morning. To darn cold for me. Turn the heat back on please. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Dear Buttercup, It is a very sweet gingerbread house. I would describe it as charming.
My favorite holiday treat would be Strufoli. They are little sweet fried dough dipped in honey and rolled in sprinkles. Blessings, Catherine xo

Me, too! I'm not crazy for too much sugary, squishy treats ... ginger-flavored is just right!

Oh this is just the sweetest, most precious house! Look at the mailbox! I will have to remember to re-pin this from you on Pinterest. LOL! And I'm not that fond of ginger, I hate to say... I like a real home-made little butter cookie with colored sugar sprinkled on it at Christmas, because I am NOT a baker and enjoy others' baked treats. ;)
Even when my son was small, I'd buy the Pillsbury sugar cookie log and flatten it and we'd use that to cut out the shapes - tree, bell, etc. and bake them. How sad is that??!!
Best,
Gloria
