The Last Snack of Summer

On Wednesday it was still a glorious summer day. I wore a short sleeve shirt and a summer skirt and my favorite open-toe shoes. Today I knew fall was on the way and coming soon. I wore jeans, a long sleeve shirt and socks and sneakers and I carried a light jacket.

But Wednesday was still summer and I loved walking on Fifth Avenue. I enjoyed all of the sights -- museums, the fashion shoot and Central Park. The only things missing were my blog friends. What a good time we would have had. We would have visited one of the museums -- that's a post to come -- maybe done a little shopping...

 Outside the Guggenheim Museum

...and we definitely would have stopped for a snack.  Maybe at this cute cafe.

The Heavenly Rest Stop is at the Church of the Heavenly Rest at Fifth Avenue and East 90th Street

We might have had our choice of ice cream..

or frozen yogurt. I love the color of the truck.

But whatever we would have done, I know we would have had a wonderful time. The company is always good in Buttercupland. Thanks for visiting!

I would have loved to be there enjoying the nice day with you. Glad you got out and about. I had my layers on today as the high was 57. Tomorrow the sun will shine and be warmer with a whopping 68. Hopefully we'll see lots more nice days before the weather changes for good.

I hear what you're saying... one day it's summer and the next autumn temps are here. It got down to 39 degrees the other night, here. Had to bundle up. I definitely would have enjoyed our walk downtown together. Loved the kiosk outside the museum. And frozen yogurt from a pretty pink truck sounds delicious.

Let's do it for real..... I want to enjoy NYC with you one day. Our weather has been changing like yours this week. Wednesday I was hot in the mid 90s and I was swimming... today it is 77. I know that is not cool but it is a big change in a short time.

I am glad that you are feeling better. I can't get over how blessed we both were to get such good news after our surgeries. I am so thankful.

Have a great week. I am getting ready to leave on a cruise Monday. I am not feeling really good but I look forward to lounging around the ship with some friends.

Take care of yourself. Hugs, Lura

Hi Buttercup- I remember Buttercup Land- I was here a while ago and telling you about how gorgeous it was to see the New York streets I've only walked on honeymoon 13 years ago now! But at least I'll get to see the Willows having a stroll soon too!

As I told someone in MN, you are going to want to pull this photo back out in January or March to remember that summer will return! So happy we had a great day together!
