Come to Brooklyn!

One of the prettiest places in New York City is the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It's just a short -- 45 minute -- subway ride from where I live, but it's a world away.

It's right around the corner from the Brooklyn Museum, which has a terrific art collection.

I was at the Botanical Gardens on Thursday for a program for work. The program went well, but I wished I could stay here for the rest of the day and enjoy the gardens, especially the lily pools, and the Museum. Definitely need a return trip soon!

It's been a whirlwind few days...Retirement party and dinner for my new volunteer program -- details to follow -- on Friday night, training for the program yesterday and a movie this afternoon with my friend Lynda. All good, but hectic. Bog visits tonight!

I do love it when you give us an insight into other areas of your wonderful City. It is such a shame I always think when people think NY is all noisy hooting yellow cabs etc. LOL Itis the same with Edinburgh they think that it is all Castle, and museums. Never say about the wonderful seaside area and the great huge Zoo etc.
Love for now Have a wonderful week.

Love seeing NY through your eyes and the pictures you share with us all. Lot's of places to visit. Some day would love to get back there for a longer visit than the few hours I had years ago. Have a great week.

G'morn Lilac ~

What beautiful gardens ... now I know why our ancestors who signed the petition to Gov. Stuyvesant to create Brooklyn did so ... we always enjoy our visits there.

Picking up 2 kid-lings & we are going to the amusement park tomorrow ... they don't know it yet so we are going to have lots of excitement.

Have a beautiful safe 4th!, my sweet friend.

That's one thing I love about blogging... I can visit places I'll probably never get to in real life! Those places are really neat and you always have such great pictures of them! Thanks so much for sharing.
