You know you're really grown up...

...when you have a medical test and the doctor says "See you next year," and it's just about the best thing you can think of. Had my mammogram this afternoon. This is one test I just dread and to be honest I put it off, even though I know I shouldn't. About a year ago my radiologist closed his practice and I dragged on making the appointment with one that was recommended. Like everything, the longer I delayed the more anxious I got. Finally today came. Thankfully, everyone was so nice and most importantly, the results were good. An unexpected bonus was they take my insurance. Now I promise to be consistent and go every year.

My weekend in Connecticut was great. We had lovely spring weather and I got to see my aunt, three first cousins and all eight of their kids. Even though I love living in New York I get very nostalgic for Connecticut when I visit, especially in the spring and fall. I forget how much I dislike the New England winter when I focus on daffodils and tulips. Special fun was getting to see my cousin's two new puppies, Susha and Dudley, who are absolutely adorable and having a great visit with my cousin, Donna. Thanks Donna for a wonderful time.
Take good care, blog friends and have a great Wednesday!

Oh, I'm so bad. I don't have mammograms. Tee hee. Just an old stubborn mule here.

I don't care for the winters you have up there, either, but NOTHING beats your springs and summers for sheer beauty. And your autumns are the best in the country, I do believe. But that WINTER!!! Argh!

I know what you mean about having to change doctors and get the gumption up to go for that first visit. Since I moved here, 3 hours away from my family, I have had to find all new doctors for everything. God has blessed me though with the most wonderful men and women of many kinds of practices. :)

Finally we have gotten to see the sunshine! Yeah! Sounds like you got to get away and take a much needed trip to see your wonderful and amazing family. I'll bet they were thrilled to see you and spend time with you. They must feel so blessed to have such a beautiful person like you as a part of their family and lives. :)

Keeping my fingers crossed that winter weather stays away now until way into next winter season. :)

Hugs and blessings,
Stacey
