In the midst of internet issues, and my almost finished post about September 11 is somewhere in cyberspace. In the interim I offer this memory of the World Trade Center, December 1999.

I like your memory. As horrific as it was to all the country, it seems like it was worse for those in NYC. Someone else posted on FB about two things we will always remember where we were when we heard the news - - - 911 and JFK. So many young people have no clue. Thank you for posting this.
We all have memories, Carol, especially those of us who live or lived in neighboring states.
