Pretty in pink at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Most weeks I have a theme for Pink Saturday, but today I'm featuring two very different photographs that focus on the color pink. That's their only connection, but as I saw each scene I knew they would be my Pink Saturday pictures for this week.
Generally when I feature the Metropolitan Museum of Art I included photographs of the exhibit or gallery that I visited. But this week my focus was black and white photography. I saw exhibits by the photographers, Richard Avedon and Berenice Abbott and enjoyed them both very much. So much so, that I'm looking to do more of my photographs in black and white.
Pink and more pink in Westfield, NJ
When I saw this wall and the flowers I knew it was my choice for this week. I had friends in high school from Westfield, but I'd never been there and what a lovely town. I enjoyed a nice lunch with a friend that lives in the area and made a note that I definitely want to return to explore the historic sites in the town.
I hope all of Buttercupland is having a good weekend. I enjoyed my visit to the Metropolitan Museum, a fun theater day this afternoon and I'm looking forward to catching up with a friend on Tuesday and seeing the most recent Indiana Jones movie.

Those two photo exhibits sound like ones I would very much enjoy, Carol, as I also enjoy b&w images. Westfield, NJ is very familiar to me as it is where I attended a parochial high school commuting there from my hometown of Plainfield, NJ. Did you visit the downtown area and the lake?
