Please meet my new friend, Ozzy
After the air quality disaster of last week we're back to blue skies again. I took advantage of the glorious day to join Betsy and Presley for a walk in our local park, Riverside Park, and a visit to the dog run. The latter is fast becoming one of my favorite parts of a visit to the park. I love the gardens, but I really love the dog run. There are two parts of the dog run. One for the big dogs, and one for the smaller dogs. We spend time in the latter, because Presley is a smaller dog. The dogs are lively and each one is cuter than the next.
Generally the dogs are only interested in lots of sniffing and playing with other pups, but today Ozzy decided he was as happy to chill next to me, as play with the other doggos. No complaint here, as he was so sweet. By the time Ozzy left with his very pleasant human, we were friends.
The gardens were lovely today and I (re)discovered the rock garden. I hadn't remembered it from my many visits to the park last summer, but it's a beauty. The garden in Riverside Park is cultivated by neighbors and I'm grateful to whomever took the time to create this work of flower art.
A perfect garden moment
It was a perfect Pink Saturday Sunday afternoon in the park: great company -- human and doggy -- great weather and clear skies. It was the perfect antidote to the semi-funk I've been in since the air emergency set me off my stride. I'm optimistic that I'm back to the more upbeat Buttercup and not my sad alter ego, Stinkweed. Here's hoping!
As ever, thanks for visiting and wishes for clear skies and great company.

Stinkweed! :)
Thanks for sharing a part of your day, especially Ozzy.
That garden is beautiful! I loved meeting your new friend! He is a cutie! It is almost all perfect! I do love summer and enjoying the parks we were blessed with. We have some beautiful ones around here too!
What a sweet pup.
Nice pictures of the garden too.
Carol, so glad to read that you and your friend and the pups were able to get outdoors for a walk and that the air quality is much improved.
