I don't know about your house, but here in Buttercupland we're getting a little stir crazy. I'm sure the junior citizens of Buttercupland are especially restless. Thanks to our friends at PBS Kids we've got a treat to make these winter days livelier. I'm doing a weekend giveaway of Wild Kratts Wild Winter Creatures. Join Martin Kratt and Chris Kratt on four snowy winter adventures. Meet rare wildlife and have fun, too! Thanks, PBS Kids.
This is a weekend giveaway and it closes Sunday night, January 7 at 11:59 p.m. I'll announce the winner on Monday, January 8. Please be a friend of Buttercupland on Bloglovin, Google+ or Google and leave a comment about your favorite winter activity. Easy, peasy!
On cold winter days I like cooking/baking. I like curling up in an afghan and drinking coffee and reading magazines or doing a crossword puzzle. I'm also especially enjoying blogging this winter. I've gotten a new spark and have lots of thoughts to share.
The snow stopped here last night and most of the sidewalks have been shoveled. It was nippy today, but I got to Central Park to see the snow and it was lovely. I'll be sharing my pictures over the weekend. It was cold, but worth bundling up to see the scenery.
As ever, thanks for visiting. Take good care and keep cozy.

My grandson and I used to watch those two brothers - except they were real and not cartoons. Stay warm.
Staying inside where it's comfy and cozy sounds like a plan. Though venturing out for a little bit at a time can't hurt.
my favorite winter activity is sitting by the fire drinking hot cocoa.
I like to work on my crafts and read when it's cold. And it's always nice to cook or bake. Can't wait to see your snowy photos! Stay warm this weekend!
My 13 year old granddaughter from California spent this past week with a small group from her Girl Scout troop in NYC. They started every day from 7am till 9 PM visiting sites, seeing plays and having a great time. I so wished that I was there with her. Central Park is such a magnificent sight when it snows.
I got The Movie Pass as a gift for Christmas. It allows me to see a movie a day for the next six months for free. We have already seen three and I have many more on my list. This is the best time of the year for that because all the interesting films are out right now. I enjoyed The Darkest Hour, Ladybird, and Ferdinand, all very different, all well done. Hopefully, this will make the winter go by faster.
I also love to cook during these months. Soups and desserts make me happy.
My grandson loves Wild Kratts and I have learned a lot just by watching with him. Looks like your New Year's resolution must be to blog more. Love it.
Carol, Staying warm, reading and just being cozy, sounds just right for this weather. It will warm up her starting tomorrow....but that will lead to other conditions, maybe some icing. Yikes...that is one thing I hate. Blessings to you, stay safe, xoxo, Susie
I am looking forward to seeing your pictures! Some of my favorite things to do in the winter: curl up with a blanket, a book, and some hot tea. In December, bundle up and drive around looking at Christmas lights. Making yummy Trim Healthy Mama treats in the kitchen with my girls. Plus, when my daughter Emily is home from college, we love to gather around and sing along while she plays the piano. We will miss her when she heads back to school this coming week.
