It's Christmas Time in the City, 2010 (2)

Broad Street, in front of the Stock Exchange

I seem to be doing a lot of running around the city these days and this afternoon I was downtown for a meeting. Had dinner with friends and spent a little while browsing at Border's...a very pleasant evening. On my way to the subway I was walking on Wall Street and from the intersection of Broad and Wall, the original boundary for New Amsterdam, I saw this beautiful tree decorated for Christmas. It took me totally by wonderful surprise.

Hope your days are bringing you unexpected joys and pleasures!

Dear Buttercup,
Thank you much for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment. I am so glad that you did because it led me to your blog.... and now I have been able to enjoy this wonderful trip to New York through your last 3 posts.

When our son lived in Stamford we would fly into JFK. During our visit to Connecticut we would always take time to spend a day in NYC. It was a special time for me. I love NYC. I have been there at Thanksgiving. I saw them light the big tree at Times Square but I have never been there at Christmas.... until today..through your blog. Thank you for this lovely trip through your beautiful pictures.
I wish that I could go to tea with you next year in that beautiful hotel. It makes me feel like "upper class" just thinking about it. I've never been a guest at the Waldorf but I can dream.

I hope that you will come back and visit my post again. I enjoy making new blog friends.... and I love getting your comments.

Have a wonderful Christmas

Good Morning Buttercup Sweetie...
Oh my gosh, how breathtakingly beautiful this photo is. I know I will never get to New York, so this blessing of love from the lens of your camera is tickling me to pieces. I thank you truly from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you sweet friend for the wonderful friendship we have formed through our blogs. I cherish your heart that you have shared with me each and every day when you post. We had so much fun meeting in MD. What a treasure that I will always carry in my heart. I hope when I come home in the Spring that you will be able to come back. (Tony is coming with me this time.) It may be late Spring, early Summer, we aren't sure yet. I do KNOW that we are coming though.

Many hugs to you sweetie. I so love you. Merry CHRISTmas and much love, Sherry
