Last week was anxiety week and I am resolved that this week will be a lot less anxious. I spent this weekend getting a handle on my anxieties and realized they won't change, but I will. I got lots of exercise, cut out sugar, went way down on caffeine and very importantly, got to services. Spent time with friends and a few hours today in the office getting lots of little things out of the way. I also did a major food shopping and have breakfast, lunch and dinner foods for the week. That increase the chance that I will eat a lot more healthily. I'm about to spend some time visiting my blog friends, which always makes me feel good.
I took some photos while I was on the Staten Island Ferry on my way to Amanda's shower last month. The top photo is of course, Lady Liberty, and the bottom one is all the folks standing on the deck snapping pictures of the Statue of Liberty and New York harbor. Note the layers of clothes on the photographers. It was a bitterly cold day, but I wasn't going to miss my photo opportunity.
Wishes to all for a peaceful week!
I did enjoy the photos. I love being able to see things I've never had the chance to through other peoples travels. I am the armchair traveler it seems. I get to Scotland, California, England and New York all in one day. It's a great life!

ReplyDeleteI hope this week is a better one for you!
Hugs.
Looks like you're doing all you can to survive. Just by going through the motions, you make every day seem normal and the rest will all fall in behind.

I was age 13, in NYC, for the 1964 Worlds' Fair, the one and only time I rode on the Staten Island Ferry.
NY, NY, it's a wonderful town!!!
