A knitter on Ravelry named one of her projects "Constance Kopp's Reticule" and I had to find out what that was about. The story is set in 1914, when women didn't do the things that Constance did. There is a second book coming. I'll read it too.Mimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15827592135612785434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930223252966474185.post-24660333863137742572016-06-10T07:15:27.417-04:002016-06-10T07:15:27.417-04:00A beautiful book:) I haven't read anything ye...A beautiful book:) I haven't read anything yet this Summer but need to gather some books for the beach! Both are good, but I liked Ove the best. In some ways they are a little similar but only in that both men were widowers. Ove won my heart (and everyone else's). I have read a couple of novels set during the war and found them very good. And like you say, mirrored in many ways the things my folks relayed to me.

Barbara from Life & Faith in Caneyhead
Barbara In Caneyheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06053601327400989802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930223252966474185.post-39120649589240839822016-06-08T22:39:44.909-04:002016-06-08T22:39:44.909-04:00The book sounds interesting. One is part of McCall Smith's 44 Scotland Street series. The other is a book about the Ghent Altarpiece that was recommended by a guide in Brussels.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15045554938847356871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930223252966474185.post-56426334679685291902016-06-08T06:12:29.098-04:002016-06-08T06:12:29.098-04:00Good Morning, Carol.
