I was walking on Broadway sometime in the last few weeks and this pretty truck caught my eye. I thought it was some very attractive new food truck, but as I got closer I could see it was not the usual at all. It was New York City's first flower truck, from Uprooted. Not in the market for flowers that evening I didn't chat about prices, but I definitely found it photo-worthy.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a truck that I saw in Santa Cruz CA a few years ago. It was not unusual to see something like that out there, but I am sure that a flower truck on Broadway turned many heads. What fun!

When I was a child a similar looking truck that was all green ( but no flower decorations) would slowly ride up and down the streets in my Brooklyn neighborhood. It was a grinder. Housewives would bring out their knives and scissors to be sharpened, men would bring out the old fashioned push grass cutter to get them sharpened. That grinder did this toute for decades!
