I was all set not to post today. Today was one of the two days of the week I was just going to let my mind percolate and be ready to burst forth with great prose later in the week. My goal for today was to visit blog buddies and really enjoy leaving comments. I was doing just that when I came upon a fabulous, terrific linky, Sunlit Sunday at My Little Home and Garden that called my name or at least called for my photograph.
I took this picture on my walk to the library yesterday. I liked the branches silhouetted against the bright, bright blue sky, and the American flag in the distance. And I loved seeing sunshine after our days of snow.
I think the next few days get the award for the craziest weather ever. Tonight's prediction is a thunderstorm -- yes, in January -- followed by fifty degrees tomorrow and twelve degrees on Tuesday. No matter what the forecast is I am dressing each day as though I was leaving for the Arctic Circle. I even pulled out ski mittens today. I'm going to keep cozy no matter what the temperature, or I may just faint from the heat of my layers.
Off for tea time and "Downton Abbey." Thanks as always for visiting and take good care!

Your photo is so clear and sharp. I too love all the layers...blue sky, flag and people strolling down the sidewalk.

I do love your sunlit picture. We had some sun on Saturday here. Now we have more snow and temps with wind chills below zero and it's to be colder tomorrow. Our weather has been crazy. I did watch Downton Abby last night. It was so good to see my favorite show again.

At least the weather is keeping you on your toes. Then again, my never being dressed appropriately is why I got sick. So I guess layers is the way to go.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for dressing up for the Arctic! The weather is crazy over in this corner of the world too with floods, rain, wind and then sunshine, just waves and waves of it and very damaging. Roll on summer!

ReplyDeletevery pretty image. We are having much the same weather here in New England. It is very foggy today and into the mid 50s...but is set to freeze up again tonight. It makes for slippery driving.

ReplyDeleteI am keeping extra clothing and a blanket in the car. You just never know when you might need them this winter. So how far do you have to walk to your library? That's the great thing about being in a city is you do have things close enough that you don't have to get in a car and drive.

My daughter lives in France and I've only visited twice for Christmas - I found the cold perishing - it got into my bones!

What a lovely photo. I love the clear blue sky in the shot. It's been nice here but tonight it decided to snow. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow so hopefully it washes the snow away.
