Live from the Magic Kingdom

When I was growing up almost every Sunday night was spent watching "The Wonderful World of Disney." My dream for all of my growing up years was going to California and visiting Disneyland. The years drifted by, and my dream slipped away. Outside of one day spent at EuroDisney in the early 1990s, Disney grew far from my thoughts. I've traveled a lot, but never has Disneyland or Disneyworld been my destination. Until this week...

My first look at the castle

So enjoyed the bright colors of the balloons.

The evening parade was fabulous. The dragon was one of my favorites.

I'm tired and my feet are especially tired. But it's not very often I get to live a dream that's over fifty years old and that feels great. Live from the Magic Kingdom, a toast to living our dreams!

  13. Buttercup, I think for us Disney will always be special because of the TV show. I took all my daughters there when they were in high school. Too funny. we enjoyed ourselves,I just wish I could have taken them when they were younger. But then do people ever get too old for Disneyland or Disney World??Hope not. Enjoy your young self.xoxo,Susie
