...but I really don't look like this. I'd like to believe I do, but my eyes are red and tearing and my nose is red and runny. I'm a mess with a cold.
I've finally succumbed to the cold that's sweeping America and instead of a lovely silk dress I am in pink and white checked flannel, not the stuff of Impressionist paintings. I am taking tomorrow off and I'm going to drink tea and sleep. I may read a few magazines and watch a little television, but my motto is drink tea and sleep, and I'm sticking to it.
Sweet and healthy dreams to you!
Ohhhh nooo!
ReplyDeleteSending you a (virtual) jar of Vicks and a soft flannel cloth for your throat ... and, of course, heartfelt GET WELL wishes!
I am sooooo sorry for you to have to deal with this. Add some chicken soup to the diet, too - - and consider taking a couple of days off! You are smart to stay home. Everyone who gets sick should do that to help halt the spread of viruses.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Carol, feel better soon! Remember to keep some water in the air; it really helps. Sleep sweet!
ReplyDeleteYou and a lot of others have colds this time of year. Many of my blogger friends are suffering the same malady. Tea is wonderful when you have a cold. A little honey in it helps too. Glad you took a day off to rest. I think it's the best thing to do. Hope you are feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh NO, feel better my friend! Hope the rest and tea helps:) BIG HUGS!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, Buttercup! Sending you many wishes for feeling improved very, very soon!
ReplyDeleteOh how awful! I am so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I hope you are back to your normal self very soon!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to you,
Stephanie
Feel better quickly!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. It's the same over the pond, a lot of sniffles and coughs going around. The smaller 'puds' can play a lovely tune with their noses when they've all got the sniffles.
ReplyDeleteTake care and speedy recovery.
Dang, Carol! So sorry you're sick! Hot tea with lemon and honey is just the ticket!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're not feeling well. However, I think I prefer you in flannel--much more realistic! Hope you feel better. Get lots of TLC! I spent a weekend in bed with it a few weeks ago--went back to work on Monday and Tuesday and ended up back home on Wednesday. So...let it take its course! Glad you'll be dancing with us from home on the 14th!
ReplyDeleteButtercup, When you are sick...the best thing is just to take care of yourself and let everything else go. So keep it up. Flannel probably feels pretty good right now. xoxo,Susie
