I Took a Little Rest...

Literally and Figuratively

I know I've been away from the blog too long when I got a note -- thanks K! -- asking where I was. Whether it was the heat or just too much going on at work I was coming home most nights this week and in about half an hour falling asleep. Long, long days at work!

I did have a wonderful literary evening last Monday -- pictures to follow -- and have a great giveaway beginning next Monday, but otherwise the week was devoted to work. I have today off and in a little while will be heading to Rhode Island for a weekend with my cousins. My cousin Angela is nine and we'll be having a combined birthday celebration.

The picture is from the Queens Mall, where I tried the massage chairs last weekend. I've never tried one before, but it was one of the best dollars I've spent in a long time.

I've missed visiting, but hope to be back posting and visiting next week. Lots of hugs and weekend good wishes to all!

  2. Have a great weekend. I too am suffering birthday cake withdrawal. I have a more modest beach plan, am headed to Jones Beach since no summer school on Friday. You inspired me- I finally went back to my blog. Enjoy!

  4. Good Morning Buttercup Sweetie...
I have been wondering where you have been. I was getting worried that maybe to much celebrating had gotten you ill.

Sounds like you are going to have a fabulous weekend. How fun. Monday is my first day back to work in over 2 1/2 months. I really am excited to go back. I have missed work. It has been so hard on me being home every day. I am not a HOME BODY at all. I like going, going, going and then maybe some more going.

Still no Funky Monkey. I have been watching, but fear it is lost. If it does come now it probably will not be any good being shipped around for so long. I did post a cute monkey post yesterday, you will have to pop over and see. It will make you smile. I have always been a little bananas.

Well sweet friend, have a fun weekend. Enjoy your day off. Boy those mall chairs look great. I could sit in one all day I think. I will be watching for a new post on the trip this weekend.

Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
