The crowds on the sidewalk on Fifth Avenue. Saks Fifth Avenue is across the street and Rockefeller Center is to the right.
Sometimes there is a benefit to procrastination. I've been to Rockefeller Center to see the tree when it was two degrees and other times it's been a lot warmer. Today it was a lot warmer. It was almost 50 degrees and not that I wouldn't have made the effort for my dear blog friends, it was a lot more fun without the wind whipping across the plaza. No boots, no down coat, no scarf and not even gloves! The building at the far side of the plaza is where "The Today Show" is taped.
I'm feeling a lot better today. I caught up on some errands, as well as just enjoying being outside and getting some exercise and sun. I hope everyone had a day of sunshine, relaxation and holiday fun.
Oh my, I had heard about the star this year...You know, the Swarovski folks won't even let PRESIDENTS into their factory...it's very hush-hush...their methods are amazing and there is nothing like a Swarovski crystal creation!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you're better!
ReplyDeleteWe had a blizzard all day, no sun here!
So nice to have a mild day this time of year. All those people! Keep me in my small town!
ReplyDeleteYou mean you'd rather be in 50 degrees then in freezing cold with whipping winds? - lol - me too. Thanks for the pictures in New York on Christmas Day. Sandie
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos.....lots of crowds though.....guess everyone was enjoying having a warmer day.......
ReplyDeleteI always get so excited to see pictures of NYC! Hope to someday get to the city at Christmas time. Love these photos. Thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love your pictures. It is quite exciting for a country/farm girl to get to see pictures of the city, especially New York. It just amazes me that you live there and have all of that around you. We had a warm Christmas here too, it was about 43. However, the wind, well, let's say they could have tapped the Wizard of Oz here and not had to make any special wind effects!
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Stacey
Thanks for the peak of your world there. I love being able to see different places from the comfort of my desk chair. It is very cold and snowing here.
