Once again, I am turning to my blog sisters and brother for advice on what to wear. This time is somewhat unique. I am going to be in Las Vegas in early November and found that "Let's Make a Deal Las Vegas" will be taping during that time. Couldn't stay away from the website and now I have tickets for myself and friends for the taping. Instead of bright colors, Let's Make a Deal strongly suggests that if you'd like to be on the show -- and wouldn't that be fun! -- you wear a costume. I'm not sure I'll do it, but need to think about a costume if I do. My friend Bev, who accompanied to Martha Stewart, suggested a fortune teller. I like the idea and it would be pretty easy to put together, but I am open to other suggestions. The one thing that is specified is no trademarks or logos, so that means no cartoon characters or folks from commercials. I was thinking of dressing all in purple and being a California Raisin, but that's out. My friends are losing interest rapidly, but I am still thinking about it. I have other days to sight see and this may well be my only chance to guess about the contents behind Door 2. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Spending the next few days in farm stand land. Visiting friends that have a house a few hours out of New York City. There will be a lot of leaf raking, but also good conversation, a trip to at least one farm stand and maybe a vineyard. Photos to follow!
Have a great autumn weekend!
Yes! A fortune teller, complete with a turban and tambourine! How cute!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking a bird costume might be pretty, too...fancy feathers all over you...
Of course being the lover of all things New York that I am...how about the Statue Of Liberty holding the torch? Probably not an easy choice though.
ReplyDeleteBut the fortune teller sounds pretty good.
Funny how the first thing I think of when thinking of Vegas is the wonderful King Crabs that you can get there at the buffets. I've never been but it's one of the places on my bucket list.
Blessings and have a great time!
I suppose since NY is known as 'The Big Apple' you could go as one? Nice and round and red maybe!
ReplyDeleteMy sister did a gypsy fortune teller last year and it came out looking really neat-- Purple silk and black velvet... That might work out really well for you and you wouldn't have to put out a lot of extra money for it since the tickets to go to Vegas will be setting you back.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the country, and enjoy all the fresh foods you find there! Linda
HI BUTTERCUP!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Vegas here!!!! Hmmmmm..... maybe a Chip like in Roulette?????? Like cutout a circle(large one) and make it look like a chip!!!! Your friend could be a dollar bill?????
I'll keep thinking though!!!!!
We were there last year for Halloween, I did not dress up as that was the night my dear hubbie and I saw the Cirque show LOVE by the Beatles!!! It is an awesome show!!!!!
I'll let you know what I come up with as for the costume though, if you are going to be on the show you MUST wear a costume I'm sure!!!!
hugs,
jamie
Too bad you can't use a logo....I was thinking if there were two of you that one could be a "box" with feet/head/arms sticking out--you will have to walk...then the other could be a UPS or FedEx person. However...the Fortune Teller would work too :) I see purple in your future. LOL.
ReplyDeleteEveryone here is so creative...I'm having trouble just deciding what to be for Hallowe'en so I'll just let them help ya.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! And I hope you win something fab!
I was going to say "Statue of Liberty" and saw that commenter #2 already said it. Sounds like a fun weekend ahead of you. (We even have some cool weather here in Texas! 72 is the high.)
ReplyDeleteGirl...you do the most interesting things! You'll be a hit no matter what you decide to be...but a fortune teller would be a good choice.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your days in the country..and all the new experiences that come with that. Following a week of rain here, we finally have sunshine today...yay!
How do you look those kind of things up on the internet? You are something else (goog).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your days out in the country.
